KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - The Cranberries have released a new single, Wake Me When It's Over. The track comes from the band's eighth studio album, In The End, and arrives 14 months after the band's singer Dolores O'Riordan died in London at the age of 46.
KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - “This was a song Dolores had been working on for a while,” says guitarist Noel Hogan. “It’s a fun song to play and it’s bright and quite uplifting. It’s very much a classic Dolores song with a soft verse and a massive chorus.” KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - “It’s hard to explain what turns a Dolores tune into a Cranberries tune," says drummer Fergal Lawler. "It’s just the magic when we play together and understand each other so well. It’s always been the same." The album was produced by Stephen Street, who had also worked with the band on earlier albums Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?’, No Need To Argue and Wake Up and Smell the Coffee. "When we listened to the demos, the three of us and Stephen were thinking ‘this sounds much closer to the first album than anything else’," says Hogan. "Dolores was singing very softly on some songs, which was closer to how she would have sung back then, and the simplicity of some of the songs as well brought us back to that time." Last September, Hogan confirmed that the album would be the band's last, saying, "We will do this album and then that will be it. There is no need to continue." Add Marilyn Manson to the bunch. The shock rocker posted a photo of himself to Instagram today, credited to longtime girlfriend Lindsay Usich, with the caption "On my way to @shooterjennings to finish my new album."
PT KONTAK PERKASA - Said new album would be the follow-up to 2017's Heaven Upside Down, which Manson wrote and recorded with guitarist and producer Tyler Bates. The two previously worked together on 2015's bluesy, gothy The Pale Emperor before pivoting to a more classically Mansonesque direction for Heaven Upside Down. No word on whether Bates is involved in this latest record or not. PT KONTAK PERKASA - As for Jennings, he and Manson collaborated in 2016 on an eerie rendition of David Bowie's "Cat People" for the outlaw country star's Countach (For Giorgio) LP, a covers album featuring songs by electronic-music pioneer Giorgio Moroder, who co-wrote the cut with Bowie for the 1982 movie of the same name. Manson and Jennings also recently shared the stage when the two joined Kris Kristofferson, Dennis Quaid, Tanya Tucker and more in L.A. to perform Kristofferson's 1972 song "Why Me." Surely these people must be handling matters of global importance to be putting themselves and others at such risk while behind the wheel?
KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - If you’re one of the handful of drivers who doesn’t have their nose buried in a phone at all times, you know exactly what I’m talking about. That guy drifting into the other lane? Yep, texting. That lady that just blew the stoplight at 18 mph? Yep, holding her phone up in front of her face, talking on speaker. The guy going a constant 22 mph in a 45-mph zone? Yep, staring straight at his lap. I certainly hope he’s browsing the web. KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - Want to have some fun with these zombies? Next time you’re stopped at a light behind a person on their phone, wait for the crossing lights to turn yellow, then give a quick, polite honk. Enjoy the Pavlovian response as two dozen heads snap up by 45 degrees. Sadly, they still won’t react with anything like alacrity, but at least you’ll have cut 20 seconds off their reaction times when your light turns green a moment later—enough so that you might actually make the next green light (a near impossibility in Los Angeles). But whatever the circumstance and place, should you rouse one of these sleepwalkers from their digital reverie with a quick honk or even with your mere presence, it’s about even money that they’ll be pissed off at you, despite the fact that they’ve unwittingly inconvenienced or delayed several dozen people—or nearly committed vehicular manslaughter a few times—over the past couple of minutes. Bravo, morons. There aren’t enough Most Self-Absorbed trophies to go around. These phone-centric displays of utter disregard for other people’s lives, the rules of the road, and common human decency are everyday occurrences. It’s not like driving with your phone out doesn’t end in misery every day, too, many times over—I see an accident happen or come upon the immediate aftermath of one at least twice a week, and my commute is roughly eight miles each way. Imagine how many accidents that must extrapolate to all across the country? But you don’t have to imagine it; we have statistics for that. Distracted driving kills more than 3,000 people and injures roughly 400,000 more every year. If you do use your phone while driving, the next time I flip you off for nearly adding another number to the pile, maybe take a beat and consider putting your phone down. Oh, who am I kidding? You drive like you live: barely aware, escaping every moment, and simply waiting for death to end your confusion. I just hope you don’t take me or my loved ones with you. Source : automobilemag.com PT KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - Stress might seem harmless, but it’s anything but. While short-term stress can lead to bothersome headaches, stomach cramps, weight gain, and more bouts of colds and flu, chronic, unremitting stress impacts every part of your body, from your digestive and reproductive systems to your immune system.
PT KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - Left unaddressed, chronic stress can even increase your risk for conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, depression, and anxiety, according to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). That’s right: Stress isn’t just making you grumpier — it may also be making you fatter and sicker. PT KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - For Everyday Health’s United States of Stress story, of the nearly 6,700 people we surveyed, 35 percent rated their stress as a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1 to 7 (with 7 being the highest), over the past month. We also asked respondents how they deal with stress, and among the various coping mechanisms they could pick, 22 percent of people reported turning to food. How Your Diet Can Affect Stress Levels, for Better or WorseProblem is, people may be making their stress worse by taking that very action. That’s because diet choices can make or break your stress levels. Let’s put it this way: Those cookies and potato chips aren’t doing you any favors. Ali Miller, RD, CDE, an integrative dietitian at AliMillerRD.com and author of The Anti-Anxiety Diet, says that refined carbs such as these spike blood sugar and then cause it to crash, increasing stress and anxiety. But choosing healthy foods — including healthy fats such as avocados, eggs, and walnuts — has the opposite effect, creating a “favorable hormone signaling in the brain, which supports satiety, mood regulation, and sleep and energy balance,” Miller says. An urge to make a beeline for the vending machine when stress is sky-high isn’t your fault. When you’re stressed, your body pumps out hormones that rev your appetite and send your cravings for unhealthy comfort foods soaring, according to Harvard Medical School. Meanwhile, stress can lead to a loss of lean muscle mass, which decreases your metabolism and increases your risk for weight gain. Of course, that’s just part of the equation. From sleep, diet, and exercise, to work, family, and romantic relationships, stress can take a toll on every aspect of your life. Fortunately, there’s a solution — and we can help show you the way. To help you build the ultimate stress-busting diet, we came up with a detailed food list and 14-day meal plan that’s specifically balanced to meet all of your nutritional needs while calming stress hormones, increasing feel-good hormones, and keeping energy high. We also offer some expert-backed tips and tricks that we hope will help you tame your stressors once and for all. Preparing healthy food may be the last thing you want to do when you’re pressed for time and strung out. But rest assured that your time and effort will pay off in a big way — and that you’ll likely notice the benefits of this plan when your stress levels are at their highest. What you’ll potentially be getting out of this plan: more energy, a calmer mind, a boosted immune system, and maybe even a slimmer waistline. Need we say more? Source : everydayhealth.com |
