PT KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - Dr. Oz along with Julia Collin Davison from America's Test Kitchen uncovered a startling secret when it comes to purchasing raw shrimp and scallops: you may be paying for mostly water. When shrimp, scallops, and other white fish like talapia are cleaned and processed, some companies opt to treat the seafood with salt or sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) in order for the seafood to retain more water. This makes the seafood whiter, plumper, and more attractive to the buyer. It also makes the seafood significantly heavier, resulting in more profit for seafood companies. Shrimp, naturally, contain about 77 percent water, but Dr. Oz discovered that shrimp treated with STPP contain over 90 percent water.
While the FDA says STPP is completely safe to consume, why pay extra for the chemicals and more water? Plus, it's less tasty. The ATK team conducted a blind taste test of shrimp treated with and without STPP and discovered the flavor and texture of the shrimp are compromised (i.e. waterier). When purchasing frozen shrimp or scallops, Julia recommends checking the entire package for any mentions of STPP and/or salt (it may not be present on the list of ingredients). The segment does not explain what to do when purchasing fresh seafood at the counter, but my plan is to start asking the fishmonger more questions about the seafood I want to buy. PT KONTAK PERKASA - Memphis Depay is on his way out of Old Trafford, but how does he compare to other Manchester United signings since Sir Alex Ferguson retired?
The Dutchman was signed for £31m in June 2015 by compatriot Louis van Gaal but has failed to repeat the title-winning form he showed for PSV. He's one of 20 first-team players signed by United since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013. Ferguson's immediate successor David Moyes brought Marouane Fellaini, Guillermo Varela and Juan Mata to the club, before Van Gaal splashed the cash on 13 other players during his two-season tenure. As well as Depay, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Angel di Maria, Daley Blind, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Victor Valdes, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Sergio Romero and Anthony Martial were all signed by Van Gaal. Current boss Jose Mourinho has since brought in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly. Who have been hits and who have been misses? Source : animenewsnetwork.com PT KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - Zeotap, a startup that helps telecom companies sell their data to advertisers, announced today that it has raised €12 million in Series B funding (that’s just under $13 million).
Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Projjol Banerjea told me that while there’s “decent data” available for online advertisers targeting desktop users, things are shakier on the mobile side: “The majority of data available in the market tends to be fairly poor quality.” Specifically, he said the available data tends to be less reliable because it’s based on “probabilistic modeling.” By using data from the telcos, Banerjea said Zeotap has a wider range of data — including demographics, location and purchase intent — that’s also more reliable because it’s deterministic (which usually means it’s provided by the users themselves). And while Zeotap started out by working with telcos, Banerjea said other companies (including, according to the funding announcement, “a leading security company” and “a top navigation services provider”) have also approached his team about selling their data. As for privacy, Zeotap says it does not include any personally identifiable information. Banerjea also said that one of the key elements of the company’s strategy is the fact that it prevents advertisers from storing data with persistent identifiers. One of Zeotap’s strategic investors, Xaxis co-founder Mark Grether, said via email that one of the core principles in advertising is to “never share data directly.” “The moment it is out in the market, it is uncontrollable and it loses its value,” Grether said. “When I got to know zeotap I re-discovered exactly this principle and realized the company was in a great position to gather the highest-quality data sources and monetize them across the ecosystem. Not only have they figured out smartly the data security and privacy parts of the equation, they also have a neutral position in the market and can offer the data securely to anyone who wants to leverage it.” Source : techcrunch.com PT KONTAK PERKASA - Classic Rock, Metal Hammer and Prog magazines have been rescued by their former owner, Future plc, a profitable and stable media business listed on the London Stock Exchange. All three magazines and their associated websites were threatened with closure the week before Christmas when previous owners TeamRock went into administration, with the loss of 73 jobs. The news prompted an online campaign from Orange Goblin frontman Ben Ward who set up a JustGiving page to raise money for affected staff. With a target of £20,000, the campaign reached £78,000 in five days and now stands at £85,000. Support came from across the music business, with Queen, Rush, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head, Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, Frank Turner and more making donations and pledging support. Now Future – the publisher of Total Film as well as musicians titles Guitarist, Total Guitar and Rhythm and the MusicRadar website – has acquired the magazines, domain names, events, radio license and websites of Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Prog, The Blues and (Metal Hammer awards show) The Golden Gods. “The Editors and Art Editors of the brands are already back on board to help restart where we left off,” says Paul Newman, Editorial Director. “We hope to contact other former editorial staff and contributors in the near future and will provide an update about our intentions as and when we can.” Right now, everyone is working hard to get the next issues in production and get back to business as usual. The latest issues of Classic Rock, Metal Hammer and Prog were finished before the TeamRock news broke and are in the shops now and en route to subscribers. Scott Rowley, Editor In Chief (Rock Titles), commented: “The last few weeks have been an absolute rollercoaster, first with the devastating news about TeamRock and then with the overwhelming response to that news – Ben Ward’s amazing campaign and the messages of support the whole team has received ever since. “TeamRock talked a lot about the power and the passion of the rock community, but the response to the company’s closure really showed what that looked like. We’re indebted to you all and won’t let you down.” INFORMATION FOR MAGAZINE SUBSCRIBERS Future will be honouring existing subscriptions. All of the latest editions have now been sent out so, while they'll be a few days later than expected, everyone who was due to get the latest issues of Classic Rock, Prog and Metal Hammer should receive one. It will take us a couple of weeks to bring in and sort their customer and payment details – understandably, we need to follow all the necessary precautions to keep your data secure, and your Direct Debit payments in place so you won't need to resubscribe. As soon as we can, we'll be in touch by letter and/or email, to confirm the new customer service numbers, and payment references for Direct Debit subscribers. Sebenarnya, sih, nggak salah kalau kita berpikiran kayak gitu.
Setuju! Source : hai-online.com |
